Day 38, Wednesday, November 12 We can weather any storm with Gods - TopicsExpress

Day 38, Wednesday, November 12 We can weather any storm with Gods words as our foundation. Luke 6:47. We keep praising Him through this storm! Mom likes to describe dads days as waxing and waning. Its a perfect analogy where his activity levels increase and decrease. Dad is working very hard at therapy He gets worn out from it, but hes making progress. :) Mom was so proud to show me how he can move his right hand! I was shocked at how much he really moved it! I said, You ROCK, Dad! and he smiled a big smile! There was a birthday party at the center for Mom on Monday with some of the kids and grand kids. She thanks everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes! Mom got out to Isaiahs and Nathans basketball games in Rock Island tonight while Jeni sat with dad. Thanks Jeni for doing that! Chris has been with Mom & Dad so much through this ordeal. She is very good at giving us updates and making sure they both get anything they need! Specific things to pray for: healing of wounds, healing of congestion, & strength and stamina. We continue to pray for the healthcare workers. We are praying for all those who struggle with health issues. Please pray for our brother, Bob, Jr., who isnt able to be here as much. I know this is hard on him. We are trying to remain strong through this storm. I think its natural to ask, Why? We often wonder what might have been if things have been done differently. We know that God will give us strength during this difficult time. Its funny how perspective changes how you think. Ive had a weird streak of luck this past week. I won $190 on a raffle ticket, won a raffle item at a benefit and found money at a restaurant that NOBODY would claim. I never win anything. In an emotional moment I broke down and cried that I didnt NEED this money or material things. The only thing I want is for my Dad to be healthy! Some good friends of mine reminded me that that was Gods way of providing. They said, just think of it as His way of helping pay for gas for all the trips to Peoria, etc. I just love my friends! I know we are not the only ones who are going through struggles. I always say that I wouldnt trade my struggles. So for all of you who are battling, continue to Praise HIM in this storm. He is with us! youtube/watch?v=ck2sFfoRMdg
