Day 4/5 of my thankfulness quest. #1 I am thankful to God for keeping my boys safe. Today they are off together for a three hour journey to go dirt biking and it terrifies me. If I had my way, theyd stay home with me wrapped in bubble wrap tucked into our safe haven with no stress on my part. Instead I have to hug them warmly, wish them well and wave as the drive away. On the inside I am screaming nooooooo! While I have a death grip on their belts, and my shoes dug into the ground while I hold them back with superhuman strength. Yes, I am thankful to God for keeping them safe. #2 I am thankful I was able to learn meditation. In times of deep stress, I put on some tranquil music, lay on the floor in semi darkness breathing deeply into my belly and let my imagination take me away. I imagine a beautiful mossy creek bank beneath a rainforest canopy. I go lay down right next to the water and let the tips of my fingers of one hand rest in it. Imagining my stress as tiny black particles inside my body, I picture them rushing and spinning around until they form a ball in my chest, then picture that ball spinning and moving gently into my arm, down through my fingers and being dragged away by the gently moving water. I lay like that in my imagination and rest for a few minutes. When I get up I am magically restored. Its absolutely amazing. I am very thankful for meditation. (Shall be going to my rainforest shortly! 😝) #3 I am thankful for artistic creation. There is something wonderfully cathartic about creating something new from random objects. I try to work on something creative every day. Not just work related but creation just for the pure enjoyment of it. I am completely in my happy place, when I am creating something. Yes, I am so thankful for the chance to create. ☺️💕
