Day 4: Experiencing More of God Psalm 6:3-1 Deuteronomy 4:29 Proverbs 8:17 Jeremiah 29:12-14 Isaiah 55:6-7 Psalm 63:8 Joshua 23:8 Deuteronomy 13:4 Hebrew 10:19, 22 Psalm 37:7-9 In Exodus 33 Moses asked God to see more of Him than what he already experienced. Exodus 33:11 said that God spoke to Moses face to face, as one who speaks to her friend, but Moses wanted more this time. Most wanted to experience an encounter with God. His heart yearned for this encounter so much that God granted the request of Moses. As a result of the encounter that Moses had with God, Moses was forever changed. Moses encounter was evident to all those that saw him. God wants to show himself but does anyone really truly want to see Him? Is there anyone that would say that another experience isnt good enough, but my heart yearns for an encounter? When we desire to experience more of God He will grant our request. Lets not settle for another experience, but a true life altering encounter with God. Day 4 prayer focus: Spiritual, the filling of the Holy Ghost, spiritual growth, closer walks with God, understanding scripture, prayer lives improved, spiritual direction. Day 5 God Will Not Fail Joshua 21: 43-45 Isaiah 58:11 Zachariah 4;6 Mark 9:23 1 Peter 5:7 Deuteronomy 31:6 2 Thessalonians 3;3 Hebrews 10:23 2nd Timothy 2:13 Hebrews 13:6 God will not fail. He has proven himself consistently throughout scripture, and experience for that matter, that He loves the elect so much that there is no way He could ever fail them. He will not allow us to be defeated, and any defeat we seemingly experience, His plan will be to ultimately turn it in to victory. As God has given victory to Joshua, and David, and Gideon, and many other characters in the Bible through sundry means, He too manifest His glory through what seems like insurmountable odds stacked against us, by turning the most drastic circumstance into a victory for you. Praise God! He will not fail. Day 5 prayer focus: City, state and nation Day 6. Submitting To The Will of God. Jeremiah 29:11 Psalm 62:8 Matthew 26:36-46 John 15:14 Deuteronomy 28:14 Matthew 6 32:34 Proverbs 3:5-6 Luke 1:38 Job 15:14 John 15:16 Submitting to the will of God appears to be one of the most challenging duties of todays Christians. Rather its submitting to Gods will concerning prayer, fasting, reading our Bibles, walking in our calling, living a holy and godly life, if were honest we will have to admit that we have not mastered submitting to the will of God. We have so many excuses in so many different ways of doing what God wants us to do that we often only concern ourselves with the end result and ignore the ways of the Only One that knows the desired results. True submission to the will of God demonstrates a life that has Gods agenda first and foremost. It is not concerned or swayed by the jury of popularity or by the compromises of the masses. True submission to God makes Him Lord, not just in Heaven but in YOU. Day 6: prayer focus: Intercession, needs of others, the need for the unsaved to be saved, needs for the homeless, needs of family and friends (ask them). Day 7 Worrying Psalms 55:22 Philippians 4:6-7 Colossians 3:15 Proverbs 12:25 Matthew 11:28-30 Matthew 6:34 1 Peter 5:7 John 14:27 2 Thessalonians 3:16 Psalms 56:3. Worrying is the act of tormenting oneself with disturbing thoughts. This is not the act of others or even Satan upon you, but what you actually inflict upon yourself. Some of the most damaging, physical effecting consequences come as a result of a disturbing thoughts that we allow to run ramped in our minds and take up residence. Worrying is not an attribute of God and therefore should not be an attribute that we attached to ourselves. Philippians 4:8 tells us to fix our thoughts on the things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely and admirable. If your thoughts are not in alignment with Philippians 4:8 then give yourself permission to serve an eviction notice and gain control of your thoughts in order to be a healthier more effective YOU! Day 7 prayer focus: Individual needs. Day 8 The Timing of God John 7:1-9 1 Chronicles 12:32 Psalm 27:14 Lamentations 3:25 Ecclesiastes 3:1 Psalm 37:3-7 Psalm 31:15 Psalm 69:3 Psalms 40:1 Isaiah 40:31 God has a timing for all things. We certainly would rather have God operate on our schedules, but He chooses the time and season for all things. We simply must trust His timing. God will not be rushed, as well, He will not be hindered. When it is His will to move, He will move. When He does move, it will be the perfect time, not a moment too soon or a moment too late. So we must all learn how to wait. There is a saying that goes: good things come to those who wait. It could be amended to read: God things come to those who wait. Wait on Gods timing. Day 8 prayer focus: Worship and praise, honoring God, no requests, Day 9 Take The Limits Off Ephesians 3:20 Matthew 6:26 2 Peter 1:3 Philippians 4:13 Luke 18:27 Philippians 4:19 Jeremiah 29:11 Matthew 19:26 Mark 11:24 Romans 8:31 Those who grew up with fathers may remember what we thought about him. We felt like there was nothing daddy couldnt do. We used to have a playground battles against our friends that eventually morphed into a discussion of how, my daddy can beat your daddy. And born again believers we serve the Father of all fathers and our faith in His abilities should be limitless. He can do all things. We must take the limits off of our faith system and start believing God for the impossible. When you believe He is limitless, then you will realize that you are limitless, because with Him empowering you, you can do all things through Christ Jesus. So be encouraged today to take the limits off and like your Heavenly Daddy show you what can be accomplished. Day 9 prayer focus: Miracles, signs and wonders for the church and for others, financial blessings, provisions for businesses. Day 10: Encountering God Through Worship. Exodus 34:14 Psalm 22:27 Matthew 2:2 John 9:31 Revelations 4:10-11 Nehemiah 9:6 Psalms 29:2 John 4:23-24 Philippians 3-3 Psalm 99:9. Worshiping God is what we were created to do. The saints of God will spend eternity worshiping God and now we have been afforded the opportunity to begin now, here on earth. Our worship is not based on how we worship but the fact that we worship the only true and living God. Worship is not based on the musical selection thats being played on any given Sunday morning, but it is based on what takes place in the believers heart as they live out a lifestyle of continual daily worship. Day 10 prayer focus: Experiencing God; let Him do whatever He wants to do in us.
