Day 4 Led Zeppelin Challenge. I was tagged by Ayan Tolentino to post 7 Led Zeppelin songs in 7 days. Ill change mine a bit. Ill post 7 original songs that were allegedly ripped off by Led Zeppelin instead. My 4th post is about one of Led Zeppelins more popular hits, Dazed and Confused. This one was originally written by folk artist Jake Holmes. Story is, he opened a show for The Yardbirds (with Jimmy Page as a member) and performed this song. Page absorbed (read: stole) and tweaked the song for The Yardbirds and eventually arranged it with Led Zeppelin. All this without crediting Jake Holmes. Are we all seeing a funny pattern now? :-) ( I read Jake Holmes sued but settled in 2010. Dazed and Confused is still credited as written by Jimmy Page but now, inspired by Jake Holmes. Hmm... now, Im confused.)
