Day +4. Ollie is feeling much better today, eating much more and not having nearly as much tummy pain, well over 24 hours fever free. His heart rate has been much more normal for most of the day, however in the past couple of hours it has been getting really high, up to 145 at times, the his BP dropped again. Suddenly there was a whole bunch of people in and around the room, about six nurses, our doctor, folks from Critical Care, a cardiologist. Within minutes hed had an X-ray and an echocardiogram. They administered a bolus of fluid and after a few minutes everything was back to normal. The echo didnt reveal any problems, nor did the X-ray, and throughout it all, Ollie was completely blasé, watching tv and seeming just fine. Heres to a quiet night.
