Day 4 #TrustinGod We are so close! For those of us who are at home kickin it, congrats! For those of us who are still grindin, were almost there! As I began thinking and praying this morning about what to write about, I ran across this verse that reminds me of where I am right now. Psalm 28:6-7 says Praise be to the Lord for he has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him. My life, our lives, may not be easy right now. With all the injustices weve seen in Ferguson, NY, and other cities, struggles in school, issues in relationships, or maybe youre just tryna make it. Regardless, the Lord hears us asking for help and guidance and He will be our strength and shield. What does that mean? When youre out of energy, He can give you more. When youre feeling exhausted and drained, He will give you what you need to keep moving. When people around you start acting crazy, He can give you guidance to make wise decisions. So I pray today that regardless of whats going on, our hearts would trust in Him and leap for joy. God is faithful to us, especially right now. We can trust in Him. How can we practice trusting in Him? God wants us to experience joy on earth! I challenge us to do one thing today that brings us joy. That may be watching a movie, hanging out with a friend, cooking, reading, dancing, listening to music. Invite the Lord into that space and experience His joy! Love you all! Were so close!
