Day 4 of 31 of the Buffett Crusade… Jimmy Buffett and Martina McBride came together to perform this great song that should resonate with each of us. “Trip around the Sun” is a birthday song for the ages. I think the lyrics speaks to all of us. Every birthday I have, I think of this song or play it because it reminds me to keep life in perspective. “I’m just hanging on while this ol’ world keeps spinning and it’s good to know it’s out of my control” is so true. That entire verse just makes sense to me. Jimmy sings one verse that has always made me ponder if I can do better every day I wake up… “Only time will tell if it was time well spent…” That is so true. We hope we are spending quality and meaningful time on this planet, but only time will tell….are we making a difference?
