Day 4 of 40 DAYS IN THE WORD “THINK” Today you are only receiving one verse and if you do not already know it by heart, memorize it. This is a stand- alone verse from God’s Word that will speak to you every time you think of it. You may be on a mountain top singing God’s praises, in the valley of despair and heartache or somewhere in between. When you begin reciting this verse over and over in your mind, it’s like taking a deep breath or getting a cup of fresh cold water on a hot day. “YOU WILL KEEP HIM IN PERFECT PEACE, WHOSE MIND IS STAYED ON YOU, BECAUSE HE TRUSTS IN YOU.” Isaiah 26:3 (NKJV) We can never avoid strife in the world around us, but with God we can know perfect peace even in turmoil. When we are devoted to Him, our whole attitude is steady and stable. Supported by God’s unchanging love and mighty power, we are not shaken by the surrounding chaos. Do you want peace as you battle through the storm of adversity on the job? A broken relationship? An illness beyond the doctor’s knowledge, skill and capabilities? The loss of, or pain a loved one is going through? Whatever the situation, do you want peace?” Of course you do, we all do. Remember there is a purpose for this, 40 DAYS IN THE WORD OF GOD. The goal is to get everyone into reading, believing and practicing the Bible every day. According to God’s Word, peace comes when you keep your thoughts on and your trust in God. Whatever your need, think about the Lord and ask, “How will You help me today?” Memorizing this verse will help you every day for the rest of your life! Pastor Carnes
