Day 4 of 5. Andy Langridge nominated me to post one of my favourite songs for 5 days and nominate someone else each day. Ive decided to choose songs that hark back to my younger days. The sixth form common room at school had a record player, and most days someone would bring in a record which wed listen to at lunchtime or in free periods. One day, a friend who lived in Aylesbury bought in an album from a new local band he really liked. When he played it, I was hooked. Not having much knowledge of Prog up to that point (early 80s) this was something completely new to me, and I remember buying it the next weekend. The album was Script for a Jesters Tear by Marillion - my stand-out track from this was (and still is) Forgotton Sons. This is from the Old Grey Whistle Test in 1983. Today, I nominate Tim Bastock to post his five favourite songs.
