Day # 4 of the Donna Greenberg challenge. This is fun. I agree with Lee Ann Armstrong, she really started something great. It will be celebration that will continue through the year and beyond. Thanks DG. I could not decide which one of these two pieces I wanted to share so I am posted both. I also want to nominate a very special person to share her work: Ellen Prophater from Buford, Georgia. Ellen is an exceptional craftswoman with talents beyond polymer. I have shared a table with her at many retreats, most notably the Mammoth Cave Retreat. Quietly working at her table, Ellen produces nearly perfect pieces with a particle classiness and high end styling that inspires me to aim for the same. Not only has she contributed new techniques and supplied materials to the polymer community through the Filagree and More Company, Ellen has been a very strong and supportive voice in the current efforts to elevate the status of polymer in the art world . She and her business partner, Sue Sutherland, have assembled the largest collection of polymer pieces at the Creative Journey Gallery in Buford which she displays as a depiction of the history of polymer. She supports the polymers artists by selling their pieces in the gallery and offering excellent classes in the studio. She is shy about blowing her own horn so I will do it for her and thank her for her support and friendship.
