Day 40: Ella update. The procedure so far, in order to go for a walk, is to ask her to go to bed so that I can put her collar on and attach the leash while shes in her kennel. I then drop the leash and she flees into the living room, dragging it behind her. I slowly approach her and get just close enough to grab the leash so that we can get to the door - once were there were good to go! Well weve been able to eliminate a step...once I get her collar and leash on and walk away, she no longer flees to the living room. She walks down the hallway then just stands at the door and waits for me to put my boots on and I just simply grab her leash and go! Im very happy that she considers our walks to be a good thing. She has started to investigate the trees and the deer poop now...actually using her nose. Shes been such a great little walker :)
