Day 41 I would like to continue with our exploration of the Emotional Immune System. This time we are going to make a small introduction of ourselves to our own mind, many theories were written about this process and there are many techniques to do it. For some people it may take years to meet with themselves and for some it would be very easy and natural. For me I think it’s a very long journey but I don’t want to miss any single moment of it! Our own mind is like a big ocean and little small boat may explore only part of it but even then its far more than just to stay on shore, ever starting this journey. This ocean is full of risks and adventures and your little, (or Big) boat is your life. You may ask how all of this related to Passion, Joy and Success, so I would like to try and explain. Our ability to connect to our Passion depend very much on our learning capacity and our ability to change, evolve and express ourselves exactly like an artist who express himself on a canvas. To live in Passion, Joy and Success is to be able to learn and evolve and to be able to express ourselves like that artist. It doesn’t really matter, you can be a businessman, housewife, entrepreneur, an actor or F1 driver, the principal is the same, learn with passion and practice on your own canvas by expressing yourself. To be able to do so we have to be able to meet with our own mind. I would like to start with something very simple, a very small technique, it’s not about getting professionally into meditation but may open your appetite to dive deeper into the wonderful world of meditation, (if some of you practice meditation you are welcome to share your techniques as well). First please seat in a comfortable and quiet place, close your eyes and take 10 deep breaths, first inhale and count to 4, then exhale and count to 8 and then repeat for 10 times. After these 10 breaths you will be more relaxed, if you are not relaxed yet, go for another round of 10 breaths and let your thoughts to come up and float, pick one of your thoughts and think about it, ask yourself very gently where this thought come from, why this thought come from, is it a new thought or a thought that coming quite often, ask yourself if you ever heard this thought in the past, try to recall maybe you can remember where you heard it for the first time, maybe even who was the agent of this thought. Listen calmly to these answers, you already started to meet yourself, and new thoughts and ideas will start to flow from your creative mind, keep a small notebook near you and write down your session and the things that come out, they worth more then gold.
