Day 43 in the NICU. As youall heard this morning, I hit 3 pounds. Can I get a woop woop. Yep, Im a rock star. Today, I started bottle feeding twice a day. My first feeding I didnt do so well. I was kind a tired, so I only ate 10 ccs out of the 27. My second feeding I did better, I ate 19 ccs out of 27. Im still working on the skills needed for bottle feeding. When babies are in their Mommies tummies,around 34 weeks, they learn how to suck, swallow and breathe. Well, as you know, I didnt get that chance, so I have to learn these things outside the womb. It takes a little longer for some and for others its like second nature to them. I will promise you this, Im not giving up!!!! The Dr decided to turn my oxygen up, Im now at 4 liters and 24% oxygen. Im having a hard time holding my own per se so I just require a little help. When you pray tonight, can I ask a few request. Please pray for the all the babies in the NICU all over the world, they could use a little help from my friends. Next, will you pray for my blood, my bone marrow, my lungs, my ability to breathe without the assistance of the nasal cannula and my eyes. I know Im asking a lot, but all of these things go hand and hand with being able to breathe on my own. Thank you for all of the prayers, we know they are working.
