(Day 436) -- (593b.c.) ------------------------------------------[Ezekiel 5:1-17]>>> The Lord said to Ezekiel, "Take a sharp sword and shave your head and beard. Then weigh the hair you cut into three equal parts. Place 1/3 in the center of your map of Jerusalem. After your attack, burn it there. Scatter the second 1/3 of your hair into the wind, for I will chase my people with the sword. Then, keep some of the left over hairs and tie them to your robe and throw the rest of them into the fire. For fire shall come from this small group and will destroy all Israel. This illustrates what will happen to Jerusalem, for she has turned away from my laws. I will punish Jerusalem more terribly than I have ever done before and ever will do. Fathers will eat their own children and their children and children will eat there own fathers. 1/3 of them will die by famine and disease; 1/3 will be slaughtered by the enemy; and one third, I will scatter them while their enemy will chase with the sword. They will become examples to every one
