Day 44:Protective Edge/Gaza War Hamas launched over 168 missiles toward Israel, South to center, since yesterday. IAF conducted over 110 airstrikes, on armory caches, missile launchers and Hamas terrorists. Over 20 Gaza residents are dead, and many injured in Gaza, according to Palestinian reports. The talk of the day refers to yesterday heavy strike by IAF over a house, which is believed that Mohammed Deif, Senior Hamas of the military wing, was in with his family. His wife and son were killed and a massive funeral , followed by a procession in Gaza. However, as Israeli officials suggest that Mohammed was killed in the attack, Hamas press said he was not even there at time of attack. Hamas also stated that they will respond heavily on the death of Mohammeds family, and warned Airlines to stay away from Israels International Airport , starting tomorrow morning, hinting that they are planning a missile attack in an attempt to shut down Israels airport and have flights suspended in/out of Israel. In a video footage of bodies rescue from the house, you can see clearly that they shout to press to not film the bodies. This increased the suspicion that Deif might be dead. So far, no confirmation from Israel. In a video interview the mother of Mohameds wife said she is proud of him, and proud of her daughter for the sacrifice of life against the Zionist resistance. It is reported that Qatar, the residence place of Hamas military leader, Mashal, opposed to the Egyptian truce agreement, as they threatened to deport Mashal if he accepts the proposal as is. It is reported that PA President Abbas will arrive to Qatar for a meeting with Mashal. This week, 3 Knesset members of the Balad party (National Democratic Party), who are Arab Israelis, visited Qatar, without the approval of the Israeli government (a procedure that all Knesset members have to do before taking business trips for political reasons). They met with Azmi Beshara, the founder of the party, who was deported from Israel in 2007, for alleged ties with the enemy. The members claimed that this was not a political visit, though they interviewed on Al Jazeera Tv (sponsored by Qatar and is considered Pro Hamas), as well as to other Arabic news agencies. The visit was heavily criticized as a hostile move against the Israeli government, as Qatar is known for heavily financing Hamas, as well as hosting its main military leader. Presser by PM Netaniahu and Minster of Defense Yaalon tonight, mainly commanded the Israeli civilians for their stance and support in the government and IDF. Both of them stated that we are prepared for a long war, and did not exclude ground operation if needed. They didnt confirm nor denied the hit on Mohammed Deif. Netaniahu used the presser to criticize his ministers for not supporting government decisions, and publicly expressing opposing opinions to foreign press. It was reported that during the 6 some hours of Cabinet meeting,PM Netaniahu scolded Economy minister, Bennet, for publicly expressing his objection to the CF agreement talks, especially on foreign TV. PM Netaniahu called on all cabinet ministers to show solidarity and support in government decisions, regardless of their personal views. This seems to have erupted, after a report suggested that PM Netaniahu hid one of the initial Egyptians CF draft from the cabinet ministers, and was outed by Foreign Minister Liberman, who asked him why he didnt show the draft to begin with. His response than was, that he objected to the draft, as it didnt mention Hamas demilitarization, or collateral for Israels security. Last but not least, Netaniahu commented that Hamas and ISIS are similar, being like two branches of the same tree... hmmmm..... Hamas presser confirmed their responsibility for the kidnapping and killing of the 3 boys, Gilad Shaer, Naftali Frenkel and Eyal Ifrah. Link below. Norway will give immediate aid to Gaza residents in over 1 million Euros. Frances president, Hollande, supports the demilitarization of Hamas and rehabilitation of Gaza. Full article of Le Mond is on my wall. Zim ship unloaded in Oakland port, after a few days ago the Boycott movement attempted to disrupt its activity and protested in the port. Late night update: some reports imply that Mohammed Deif death certificate was published by Saham news agency in Gaza. Not clear if this is a forgery or an authenticated one. Also, it is reported that a Canadian Federal parliament member, Sana Hasaina, resigned over what she called overly pro Israel approach of the party leader. Tomorrow, warmal continues. Will update as usual. Good Night.
