Day 5 - Ross Robinsons Significant Songs in Your Life Challenge Mental As Anything - Live It Up Not a big fan of the Mentals, I have to admit upfront. This and Spirit Got Lost are the only two songs I really dug of theirs. Anyway I was at Singleton learning how to kill people in many and varied ways when this song was released. I ignored it at the time, as it was forever on the radio, along with Money for Nothing by Dire Straits. They simply flogged both songs night and day to the point where I thought we were actually being experimented on, ala MKUltra. Turns out 1985 was a bumper year for Songs To Flog The Shit Out Of This song has popped into my head at the most seemingly random of times. But it actually has been consistent. There are some songs when they jump in my head can absolutely drive me to eating a gun, like Uptown Girl. This song however is like my own personal Superman; whenever Im in jeopardy of losing my shit, it jumps in my head and I am saved.
