Day 5: GOD SPEAKS THROUGH A BURNING HEART. It was the last day after the late payment of school fees was extended by a week. I was in my final year in the university of Jos studying Economics but yet to pay and the chances of paying had been narrowed down to God- a miracle. I couldnt sleep all through the night saying, weeping, and vowing my prayers in my C37 room in Abuja hostel. This continued till a few minutes past 5am when I heard a knock on the door, my room mate (Dura, a geology student) stopped the gentleman from interrupting my devotion. I overheard him say that Seun doesnt like distractions when praying or studying the Bible The fellow insisted on waiting. It was at this point that God said to me I have sent your answer. I refused to believe such a joke because I cant imagine how a student could have that amount of money to give or borrow me. But again He reassured me that it is time to thank Him. I stood up reluctantly and headed for the door to see who my visitor was. He happened to be my classmate (Paul Akanni), he told me that he wanted to keep a cash with me in order not to squander it since he has no need for it yet. The money was #500 above the needed school fees. I love telling people that God added my transport fare too. When I probed further while my place instead of the bank since the day was a working day. He told me that all through the night his heart was burning on taking the money to me. Whenever, God wants to speak to His own on an issue; during study time, corporate church programmes or alone when we are going about our day to day activities. He may choose to cause our hearts to burn this is to prompt us to act in obedience to His instructions or leading. -the disciples hearts burn when Jesus spoke to them in Lk24:32. -the multitudes hearts pricked them while Peter was speaking in Acts2:37 -your heart too can be pricked when God wants to instruct, guide or correct you on an issue.
