Day 5 Gratitude Challenge... Mkpo idioke yami, Koro mmeyene Obong; Ofofon, Koro mmeyene Obong. Today, I am grateful to Jehovah for... 1. THE CHURCH: Today is the 2nd anniversary of the establishment of the RCCG Hebrons Court, Ogba-Ijaiye. The Lord has been most faithful. For 2 years now, we have experienced His immense presence, great testimonies, transformed lives, miracles, signs and wonders. The efficacy of His Word is incontestable. That is why, the pastorate is pulling all stops to ensure that all glory is given to the Lord and I have been richly blessed by His grace. Its going to be a great day in the presence of the Lord and Im inviting you specially. 2. MY FRIENDS: I have had them from probably, when I learnt how to talk and they have come in different shapes, sizes, colours, and temperaments. Many have been my school mates. I have only met one from my primary school in the last 25 years but the ones from secondary school and the university have made the greatest impact in my life. Some have helped; some worsened my situation; and others just stood by (non-aligned) but ALL made an impression on me. I have lost some friends along the way; by earthly and mutual separation and I am grateful for the lessons I learnt. There is comfort, support, and companionship in friendship and I am grateful to those who have stood by me through thick and thin. The Lord will bless and honour you all. 3. MY WORK COLLEAGUES: Many will probably wonder why I did not categorize them as my friends. Well, that is because they occupy a unique space in my life. For more than eight hours a day for at least 250 days a year, I spent in their company - as either my subordinates, peers, or bosses. In all the years and in all locations and economic sectors, I learnt life lessons. Great friendships were struck and still maintained and comradeship was the watchword. I have always worked in the private sector all my life - that was the area I blossomed and flourished and learnt from the best. I am grateful to God for all that impacted my life. Though some Ive lost their contacts, there are some that have transited to the great beyond. Nevertheless, I am grateful for every single one of them.
