Day 5. I touched on this on a previous gratitude-sharing post, - TopicsExpress

Day 5. I touched on this on a previous gratitude-sharing post, but will further emphasize how grateful I am for my ability to really FEEL. Although this really, really sucks some days—because an experience that might make the average person feel a bit down can send me to a rather dark place (albeit briefly), most days it is the one of the most amazing gifts I have. I can experience such joy from what others might consider very minor things... The strawberry-coloured light we get in the Okanagan some evenings... A blue heron making S-turns in front of my car as I drive home to an empty apartment just after Christmas... A sun shower... A song sung by a friend over Skype... A text from my muse... A bright light shines in my chest, makes me bouyant, joyous, happy—in the moment. I know people who do not have these experiences. And although I sometimes envy their ability to coast through challenging experiences, I feel a sadness for them, for they can not feel as deeply as I do.
