Day 5 THANK GOD! Doing this journal to let folks know who are considering tonsillectomy. Day 4 was the worst day of my entire life. Its graphic in case you dont want to read the rest. Cant think back to anything worse in my life. Mono, Shingles, Walking pneumonia a breeze. Wake up @7am feeling better, go to cough up whats in my mouth oh blood nbd. GF calls phone nurse. Nurse says oh its normal. I do this for 3+ hours like a man, and get super weak. Finally Im laying on the foyer tile not moving. Im taken to the ER, where just for future advise for anyone, make sure u pick a hospital that doesnt make u wait to even check u in as youre puking/choking, what is now coffee cups of blood through you mouth and nose while trying to not pass out on the floor, and EVERYONE watches you in the waiting room. Finally after all sorts of confusion a real nurse comes in I sign language to her Im going to pass out, and just in the nick of time she gets the IV going, and I lay there still for 5-10 min, and started feeling it kick in to the point I was able to sit up again to puke blood. Then the ENT doc came in and said ok time to do another surgery. Today I can talk, eat (small and slow) and even laugh. I will say I even somehow coordinated, through all of that, a real estate deal through texting, once they pretty much had the bleeding under control. LIFE IS GOOD!!!!!!!!!! Thank you Aubrey, and my mother for saving my life!
