Day 5 of the B&W challenge from Christa Amoriello Horst. Picking - TopicsExpress

Day 5 of the B&W challenge from Christa Amoriello Horst. Picking my last one was hard because everything is about perspective. This was taken in August 2014 in Kyoto, Japan. Here is a photo with a thousand words, there are so many contrasts in this photo. This is a city filled with richly celebrated customs that is inundated with temples at almost every block. You can see the modern 20th century Japanese citizens who wear street clothes, unhappy, very deep in thought without regard to the damaging sun rays whereas the old school Japanese women are wearing many layers under the kimono on a sweltering humid summer afternoon, proud of their culture, smiling and carrying an umbrella preserving their fair skin from the sun. In the Japanese culture fair skin is a sign of wealth and health. This photo has so many more contrasts, do you see them all?
