Day 59: 1 day out of lab band surgery. The whole procedure was pretty amazing and the surgery center staff was really supportive.... and funny. I was under the impression that there were only 3 incisions, but there were 5. All at the upper part of my stomach and under my chest. 4 small ones and one large one. No big deal. There is some sort of cream I need to find to minimize the scaring. I lost nearly 15lbs in the month up to surgery and barely ate when I got home yesterday. Today, I am sure my mind will start with the Im bored... Feed me nonsense, but I just need to fight that back and start training the mind to think differently. The only pain I have is a sore throat from the breathing tube and it hurts when I stand or get out of bed and it feels like I did 500+ crunches in my lower stomach, so I guess that is good. Day one of a new life and my relationship with food. Half a cup of coffee and I am ridiculously full.
