Day 6: Color all around. Fall is a great time for watching - TopicsExpress

Day 6: Color all around. Fall is a great time for watching Mother Nature at her best. The palette of colors are astonishing, especially in the North Georgia Mountain area, and surrounding counties. thats why I love being here this time of year-the change is evident in our own back yard, along the winding roads, and in the reflection of the waters here on Lake Lanier. Beyond fall which has its own display, winter ushers in the holiday season of festivities that range from special shows on TV, stage and in churches across the land. And of course winter brings with it the colors of the season as well... brightly lit lights, candles, wreaths, ribbons, tinsel, glitter, cookies (yeah), ornaments, Christmas trees (remember the silver ones with the color wheel?) and of course fashion. Parents dress up their toddlers for that special picture with Santa... and I see the colors of the rainbow satisfied with colors of red and green, white, blue, orange, and purples. So many different styles of clothes, hats, scarves, pants, jackets, stockings, leggins, gloves and boots... by the way scarves are a big fashion hit this season... hint, hint! I find that the preparation these parents go to in dressing their children for the event has no limits, and for some children it can be pretty embarrassing-or should I say the parents-especially when youve gone to all that trouble to wrap your child in their finest only to throw tantrums when the approach to the chair commences. Despite all of that, seeing children adorned in their finest Christmas threads is truly a spectacular I wish you could see, since I see so many one after the other taking each step towards the chair as if in some elaborate fashion show. Some outfits are beyond comprehension in beauty and grace showcasing what I have come to refer to as angels on earth, showcasing beautiful auras, hope, excitement and anticipation for what might come... You see it in their eyes, and in their smiles. You see it in their cheeks, their hands, little feet and feel it in their hearts of trust and admiration... But the brightest colors you will see is in the light of a parents smile... there is no color that shows greater-than the pride, and love of a parent! Show your true color this Christmas season, and let it be the brightest one on the tree for all to see! Love Santa.
