Day 6 in Rehab: Today there were no formal sessions, but I went through a lot of the exercises with Sandy. We couldn’t do any where she was standing up, but we still worked her arms and legs and used some of the therapy tools given to her yesterday by Art (occupational therapist). She had a decent lunch and dinner so she ate most of that and for the first time she made a couple of phone calls. I brought some of her nail art stickers and decorated the nails on her left foot (to encourage it to get moving Smile ). She might have one therapy session tomorrow, if we get lucky and they have room. Otherwise, Monday it’s back to work. I snapped a couple of pictures using Sandy’s smart phone – of her being hoisted out of the wheelchair and into bed using something that looked like a crane (she said it felt like she was flying). I’ll put one or two on Facebook tomorrow (as Sandy decided to keep her phone with her tonight). After seeing Merlot yesterday Sandy decided she wanted a picture of Folly (to go with the pictures she already has of her human family) so I printed up one and will bring it tomorrow. Bill and Marge came by in the afternoon and we all had some laughs talking about some of our favorite episodes of The Big Bang Theory. We all left around 6:30 as Sandy was scheduled for a shower about 7 pm.
