Day #6 of 80 Day Prayer Chain Prayer Item Pray for peace and stability in the country as we head towards the by-election - commencing campaigns today (after the burial of our president). In the past, cadres have carried mock coffins depicting their hatred of another person or party or they have brandished machetes to cause chaos. Pray that such backward campaigns will not be tolerated but that there will be civility and maturity in the campaigns to guarantee free, peaceful and fair by-election. Pray for our law enforcement agencies to be fair and firm in enforcing the rule of law without fear or favor. 1 Timothy 2:1-3 New King James Version (NKJV) Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior Prayer in Action Testimony We thank God that we saw peace and tranquility from both the ruling party and also from the opposition parties. We also thank God that leaders in opposition reminded Zambians to be at peace and respect the rule of law. We know that God has been faithful in upholding our peace.
