Day 6 today I am thankful for my mom, a lot of you dont know her she went to be with the Lord October 11 2002, for many years before my dad became the man of God he is today he was a drunk, my mom put up with his drinking for years but it was my mom who stood strong in her faith in God, she had 8 still born / miscarriages before having jenny & I, through all of that she stood on her faith in God and because of her stand, when I was 2 my dad came to know God, mom knew he was going to be a man of God before he did :) from what Ive been told mom put up with a lot (from dad) before dad came to love God she married him when she was only 16. she had us when she was in her 30s, She made sure Jenny Bartley & I were raised in church from day 1 even when she had to walk cuz dad wouldnt drive her. Mom always made sure we had everything we needed when we got older mom made sure our conduct & clothing were appropriate in & out of church! after I married Mark, (We) Mark & I quit attending church but mom told me you can drop the ball on yourself but your not dropping the ball on my grand kids if you wont take them to church I will! so every Saturday night she would call & make sure I would have the girls up & ready for church even Brittany who was only about 6 months at the time, her & dad took the girls to church for a while before Mark & I got back to church. Mom was always fair & treated each grand daughter the same no favorites!, & it didnt matter what she & dad were doing if Jenny or I needed a sitter she would say bring my babies on over even when she had plans or was sick, often she would have all 6 grand daughters at the same time & seemed to love every minute!!! It is because of my mom stand if faith that we are active in church today. August 1 1932- October 11 2002 Thank you so much mom I love you & miss you sooooo much!!
