Day 6... today, Lord, I give thanks for my children. My son Sean - TopicsExpress

Day 6... today, Lord, I give thanks for my children. My son Sean was a premie, born with surfactant deficiency (Highland membrane) and spent his first 10 days in infant ICU looking like a BORG assimilation attempt. I believe his premature birth by c-section resulted in his cerebral palsy. Several doctors told the ex and I several things, but we listened to what God told us... we prayed. Physical Therapy and doctor visit after doctor visit, mind numbing medical bills and no chance at insurance after I began touring... it was worth it. My son Sean is well adjusted (for a GOOBER!) and working and leading a full life. My daughter Emily is, was and always will be a joy and a blessing:the soul and heart of a healer and the sense of humor of her Gramma Katie chicken, she embodies joy, grace and beauty... and happiness goes with her wherever she goes. Emily takes care of everyone around her and brings joy to everyone she meets. My daughter Kassie is a joy and a blessing: when Kristin and I met, we soon learned that we had the infant hospital experience in common... Kassie was a premie too. She came through with less issues than Sean had, but the shared experience bonded my wife and I, and gave us an understanding of one another and our shared children... Kassie is the mom of our amazing granddaughter, Bella, and Kassie is also a beauty who brings happiness wherever she goes... I am so grateful for my children, Lord. Blessings every one.
