Day 60: hard to believe the time has flown by...he is sleeping off a big brunch as I write this...while he is still struggling for the right words, he is speaking much more clearly..his OCD is still intact, but not too much to dwell on but the grass, and its raining off and on, so, at least he understands that. The weather affects people whove had strokes, makes them more achy breaky feeling. Which is good to know, as a couple of bad days in a row are kinda tough even for the most optimistic caretakers. So, Im there for him, but not gonna push the exercises, as it is obvious he is not feeling his usual chipper self. While I am thrilled about the rain, as we sorely needed it, Im not happy about missing his rehab time. Cant fight Mother Nature, well, I could, but, like they say, no point in swinging at a pitch in the dirt!..Ive also been notified that I need to check his legs for any swelling, yet another thing to worry about. After spending days on web medicine, Ive decided that sometimes, its just better off not knowing..other than that, its been golf tv..all morning and afternoon..I mentioned football tonight, as he was such a fanatic for so many years, totally uninterested...I dont know if Oakland finally pissed him off to the point of no return, or he just doesnt get it yet..so, golf it is...he even did the awwwwe when Tiger took himself out of the game...oh well, Im sure tiger is off to play a round of holes somewhere... :o)
