Day 63 Now Relax... Today my friends I don’t want to bother you too much, today I would like only to have you relaxed. Every thing is fine, everything is on the right direction everything is working for you in the way you wish, so just take a deep breath and relax. Sometime our ambitions and aims may create a pressure especially when things are not going exactly the way we wish, but we have to remember that this is our journey it might be a long one, things may take time but each obstacle comes with opportunity to learn and grow. Since our state of mind and our Positive Mental Attitude so important for our well being and for our Joy and Success we have to take care and be aware of our stress level. When our stress level is high our ability to recognize opportunities and solve problems is limited and when we are relaxed far more options open up for us. Its very interesting but specially when we are under stress for long period of time we don’t even recognize that we actually under stress and therefore we have to practice relaxation exercises on regular bases even if we doesn’t feel so much under stress. I would recommend you to do breathing exercise as I describe in my previous posts and I’ll do it here again to remind you. But this time we will focus during our exercise in the aspect of time. Just as a note, in my writing to you I wish not only to deliver you some informative information but I wish you to join and experience my suggested exercises, reading about relaxation can’t really make one relaxed but Doing the breathing exercises will definitely make you relax. So now I would like you to seat in a quite place and do 10 cycles of deep relaxation breathing, when you inhale please count to six and when exhale count to 8 and take the air out from your mouth with your lips a bit squeezed to slow down the air flow and just bring a relaxation feeling to your body, mind and heart. When doing your exercise, think about Time and try to feel that you have plenty of time that you enjoy your journey and wish it to be long and beautiful. When you done with your exercise you will be relaxed, then read the poem “Ithaka” by Constantine P. Cavafy which I like very much and wish to share it with you as my gift. When you set out for Ithaka ask that your way be long, full of adventure, full of instruction. The Laistrygonians and the Cyclops, angry Poseidon - do not fear them: such as these you will never find as long as your thought is lofty, as long as a rare emotion touch your spirit and your body. The Laistrygonians and the Cyclops, angry Poseidon - you will not meet them unless you carry them in your soul, unless your soul raise them up before you. Ask that your way be long. At many a Summer dawn to enter with what gratitude, what joy - ports seen for the first time; to stop at Phoenician trading centres, and to buy good merchandise, mother of pearl and coral, amber and ebony, and sensuous perfumes of every kind, sensuous perfumes as lavishly as you can; to visit many Egyptian cities, to gather stores of knowledge from the learned. Have Ithaka always in your mind. Your arrival there is what you are destined for. But dont in the least hurry the journey. Better it last for years, so that when you reach the island you are old, rich with all you have gained on the way, not expecting Ithaka to give you wealth. Ithaka gave you a splendid journey. Without her you would not have set out. She hasnt anything else to give you. And if you find her poor, Ithaka hasnt deceived you. So wise you have become, of such experience, that already youll have understood what these Ithakas mean. Constantine P. Cavafy
