Day 65 Sure didnt start out very good. :( Im ready to leave for work and I cant find my cell phone. Ive got an 8:00 meeting Ive got to be at. Im running through the house and still cant find the phone. I finally have to leave or Ill be late for the meeting. On a normal day, in a normal time to me this would be NO BIG DEAL. But the fact that that little old cell phone is my lifeline to Kim made it a VERY BIG DEAL. Soon as the meeting was over I borrowed my co-workers phone and came back home to call myself and hope I could find the phone. It took three trys but I finally found it...next to my computer! I never really go in that room but I have to now because until I get a new router my computer has to be hooked up manually to the internet. Thank you Jennifer Rose for the use of your phone and thank you Lord for letting me find my phone. As you can tell, a lot of things that are currently happening, I can shrug off or deal with but Im telling you I was a mess thinking I couldnt get a phone call if something happened to Kim. Before I went into the meeting I even called the facility and gave them my work number. I felt like Id lost my right arm. A totally awful feeling. But the day got a whole lot better....insurance renewed again until October 31st. Praise God. The lady from the insurance company did call me today. She mentioned that, now get this, since Kim is getting better everyday the insurance will probably end. How about can it end when she is TOTALLY better! What a concept. Id finally had enough of her (the insurance lady) attempts at nicetys and decided to be my blunt self. I told her it sucked, and yes I used that word, that Kim paid into the insurance all this time and now in order to get further assistance she will have to do it herself. I went to see Kim at lunch time and found her sound asleep. I let her sleep for about 10-15 minutes before I basically woke her. I had some assistance from housekeeping too. :) They asked if they could come in and get the garbage can and I said sure....sneaky, huh? I noticed Kim had the quad cane by her bed. She said she was using it but I didnt get a demonstration. :( Maybe later this weekend. Kim said shed done her therapies. Friday is ice cream day. They go from room to room and dish up ice cream cones. Kim didnt want one but I took one. :) It was pretty quiet there today. Just a relaxing kind of atmosphere. I wish I could have stayed there all afternoon if only I didnt have to go back to work. When I left Kim she was relaxing in bed watching TV. Im glad this roller coaster day is over. Im throwing one more load of clothes in the drawer and calling it a night. Im going to try and get some insurance sleep. Ive got to work tomorrow 11-6. ..blah! I hope everyone has a blessed weekend.
