Day 66 What is your flying car? I do remember my first - TopicsExpress

Day 66 What is your flying car? I do remember my first venture, it was back in 1972, I was five years old kid in the kindergarten. At the time our kindergarten playground was consist of few rusty seesaws and swings, a stinky sandbox, one tree to climb on and fantastic old car wreck. Inspired by my favorite movies at the time of Pippi Longstocking and here flying bed and chitty chitty bang bang the flying car I was determined to make our kindergarten’s old car wreck to fly! I manage to convince my friends which was the easy part, that if we will refill the wreck fuel tank with sweets and candies we might be able to fly the car in the open sky and see our little town from above. The day after I asked my mom for a bag of sweets, that was the hard part, to explain my mom what kind of a use I’m going to do with this pack of sweets and only after I gave my mom serious explanation and see was convince of how important our mission is she agreed to provide me with a nice bag of colorful candies. I remember how excited I was that day, few more kids manage to bring some candies with them and we agreed to meet near the old car wreck during the lunch break, it was very hard to wait for that moment and all our other activities in the kindergarten seemed to be totally boring and purposeless. When the moment arrive, my little friends and myself met near the old car and dropped the candies into the fuel tank, not before we kept few candies for ourselves of course… I was on the steering wheel and my best friends next to me as the navigator one kid was on charge of the engine noises and all the rest at the back very nervous and excited, I turned the engine on, pulled the steering wheel up and we took off over the houses of our lovely green town as planned. And from there we flew to the ocean crossing over the white sandy beach flying at law altitude almost touching the blue water. Then we took a turn back to the command of our navigator, each time going over one of the kids houses waving hello to our mothers, until our flying car engine start to make strange noises and we realized that we are running out of candies, my professional navigator pointed us back to the kindergarten, (without any GPS), and we glide under the fluffy clouds and smoothly landed back in the kindergarten. All of us totally fascinated from our great adventure. Of course we knew this old wreck can’t really fly without an engine and specially not on candies but for us it wasn’t matter at all, our imagination took us up in the sky for a amazing flight, we didn’t really had to take off to feel like we are flying away on this old car. Today when I read about the engineers who are developing all kinds of flying cars I know exactly where they are coming from, first it’s a dream, a mission without barriers and then years of hard work and implementation, and I want to wish all of them good luck. Hey but what about you? What is your flying car? youtu.be/nnF2yua4KIw ytpak/?component=video&task=view&id=nnF2yua4KIw
