Day 67 Elias is hooked to a video EEG until at least tomorrow morning. Its hard not to look at the screen and try to google if the results are normal... hopefully his overnight readings will be good. He had a fever today and officially has a rotavirus. He isnt gtting any better and today his limbs contracted on and off for 3 hours. He couldnt sleep or relax at all. He isnt nursing either. Barely eating but still not dehydrated enough for an IV. I feel like I am loosing my mind and loosing my cool a little with staff. For example after the fever not going down for 3 hours I told the nurse he needed an alternative to tylenol... I mean he was flexing and moaning the entire time. She comes back after 20 minutes and says to give him a cool bath... um... with electodes stuck to his head, convulsions, oxygen tubes and complete hypotonia. Yeah right, you do it. Grrr....
