Day 7 - Mac has gone to Mayhew Animal Rescue after they came and gave all the dogs and cats an MOT before they rejoin their owners tomorrow when we close the centre down. Two guests came to the volunteers debrief at the end of the shift today. They said how low they had been when they had arrived and how the volunteers kindness, something small like opening the door for them through to spending time listening to them talk about their situation had raised them up to full height. There was not a dry eye in the house.
