Day 7 When I read this, I immediately thought of Psalms 130. Verses 3 and 4 read If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who can stand? But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. That helps put it in perspective. We often hold others to standards, and judge them by their ability to fulfill said standards. Yet, here is God, with every right to judge us, with every right to condemn us, but still shows forgiveness. With that forgiveness, are we going to follow his lead? Or are we going to hold scores or grudges against others? If God forgets our every sin, who are we to not do the same as his children, to his children? John 13:15 reads I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.. Verses 7 and 8 of Psalms 130 proceed to say Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins. Something I like to do with Psalms is replace Israel with my name, to make it more personal, and to help me put it in perspective (I dont write my name in place of it every time I see it there, lol.. not about that heresy.) Dal, put your hope in the Lord.... He will redeem Vashti of her sins... The protector of Danny does not slumber or sleep! The Lord is good to Janet! It really fits in anywhere, lol. How thankful I am for a life with God that isnt measured by scores, but instead measured with love. How thankful I am that I live a life by Gods standards, and not the worlds.
