Day 7 (more like day 9) of Gratitude: I am thankful for the women in my life. I cant mention them all, but i can mention a few that have been special to me over the years. Beginning with my grandmother Shelmerdene; her love for the Lord and love for her grandkids has always been evident to me and appreciated. I also have some wonderful aunts who I felt have spoiled me with a little bit of extra attention over the years, especially my Aunt Deborah and Aunt Betty Ann. Growing up in the midst of girls, sisters and cousins, they also made me feel loved and special, lots of hugs and forced kisses, right Aunt Deb? ;) And where would I be without my sisters Jessica and Adrienne? Definitely the two best sisters a brother could hoped to be sandwiched in between age-wise. Jessicas boldness and can-do attitude have always been traits I have been encouraged by and admired over the years. Adriennes desire to talk about the deeper things of life; her obvious desire to show and receive hugs and kisses when we see each other after being a part for a while have always been a blessing to me. My mom, the woman of my life up until about a year ago; it would be impossible to sum-up all the ways in which she has blessed me. But to try and name a few, her willingness to go against the flow with me and be open to learning new things (especially spiritual things) i havent seen equaled in many people. And her can-do attitude (where my lil sis Jessica gets it from) is simply awe-inspiring; I am pretty sure she has lived the lives of a 100 women by now :) And lastly, but certainly not the least, my beautiful wife Jessica. We are still learning so much about each other in almost a year of married life together, but with each passing day I realize what a wise/blessed decision it was to marry her. Her love for people, her desire to see everyone blessed and happy, her loyalty to me, her ever growing desire to live the life God desires for her . . . all these things and more make one very blessed and grateful husband.
