Day 7 of 7 days of grateful; This might sound like a strange one (I like to save the best for last :) but in all honesty it did make me more grateful than anything I can think of so here goes; 1. Last March on my daughters 6th birthday I went to my local walk in clinic due to a cough I had had for over a week and due to some test results from months earlier I was told by the doctor there that I had cancer . She said the last patient she saw who had received those results did not survive. She then referred me to a specialist who assured me that she had been completely mistaken and that I was fine. It took over a month to see the specialist, they even read me her referral letter and said I should file a complaint. I was so relieved and angry.... but I was also grateful. That experienced forced me to evaluate my life, my goals and my grievances and come to terms with them. Worst month of my life but I am thankful to come away from it with a deepened compassion for those who do receive such devastating news. 2. I am grateful for second opinions! 3. I am grateful for Tanis Duncan for nominating me for this challenge!
