Day 7 of Thankfulness I thank God for my godly heritage. Pastor Nathan from Uganda came and spoke at our church earlier this year and talked about being a first generation christian. It got me to thinking about my christian heritage and that as far as I knew most of my ancestors were professing christians. It especially made me think about my grandfather on my mothers side, Collins Michael. I thought the world of him, such a good man and christian. He was baptist through and through . In his elder years he could not drive and there was no baptist church around him but about a block away was a Church of God. My grandfather even though his theology differed from them walked there to attend church. Even though he differed in some ways he always knew the importance of being in Gods house on Sunday, and fellowship with other believers. Thank you God for the examples and the heritage that I have.
