Day 78...week 11...Day 10 Rehab. So Danni didnt have physio this morning as she was at DRI having her feeding PEG removed from her tummy, she said it hurt and she shed a few tears, but after lots of love and rest - with some pain relief shes doing good and knows the last tube/wire. This afternoon she was on her tab on facebook going through some of her friends requests, so funny when she was adding people and her dad asked her how she knew them and she was commenting School, Armthorpe, Rugby Club, Gym etc... One was a boy she said she didnt know and when i said you do she started giggling and looked at Paul and said I fancy him... She seems so happy in her new home, so chilled, full of smiles and i think its down to her communication skills coming back. As she had not eaten since last night due to the peg removal - her nurse told her she could eat at 3.30, funny as when the clock struck 3.30 she said Mum Kitchen Food....S.A.L.T are happy with her progress and putting her on a normal diet Friday (with exception of a few sharp foods) Her vocal strength is coming, so now were working on her core. This evening she said how long hospital and so we asked how long she thought, she said 2 weeks...we told her almost 3 month - she looked shocked so asked if she wanted to know why so long and why we cant take her home (she says every day GO HOME) she said she wanted to know - so we told her as brief as possible, then she asked a few extra questions which again we answered as brief as possible...She went a little quiet and we reassured her throughout she will fix herself and come home once REHAB and the Therapists have helped her... Hopefully now she will understand why she cant, sit stand walk talk etc - but realise she is getting better and after all she is Danni the Miracle girl from Armthorpe... P.S Danielle Stoton gave permission for me to write this status and says when shes better shes gong to Tunisia to Hotel Houda followed by a Family holiday to Jamaica...so shes planning her next chapter!!!
