Day 8 By Ed Finally getting my chance to write waiting on a tire in Butte You were right Ronny it didnt last to Ca! after 6 days of riding through rain sun came out yesterday, the temps were in mid 50s in the bottom cooler in the elevations, some may think this sounds bad but weve been having a Blast! Jill has been a real cowboy enjoying it as much as me, even though she looks a bit like the Michilin man with all her clothes on rain gear leathers and hoodie up ( see pics) yesterday we rode 87 miles between gas places. Miles and miles of mountain and grassland. Beautiful. Too Spikes. The old girl is purring like a kitten, only a cantankerous left turn signal Ive fixed twice but not working again. I give up hand signals , so now Jill is reverse and front left turn signal. Riding the last 2 days has been fantastic! 75 plus miles an hour curvy rds, up and down mountains. Mike would be jealous. Last night we heard the story of the Lady of the Rockies by a guy who watched it happen. Erected in 82 by a bunch of out of work miners and a welder who had never done sculpture .She stands 90 ft tall second only to the Statue of Liberty Hal and Julie research this. Inspiring . Today we are taking a side trip to a little cowboy town in the mountains. Temp this morning...37 degrees. But the sun is out and it should be a great day for a ride. Well tire is ready.. Time to hit the dusty trail. Those of you praying for us.. Keep it up... See you all down the road!
