Day 8 of praying for our wives. Gals you can pray for your guys too, just change the wording a little. Take Up the Full Armor of God Todays Verse: “Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.†- Ephesians 6:13 (NASB) Although we can’t see it, every morning we wake up in a battlefield. Forces exist that are bent on our destruction. Satan and his dark forces have your wife in their sights. The Bible says that Satan is like a roaring lion, looking for who he can destroy. The book of Revelation calls Him the “Great Deceiver.†Today, Satan has made a custom plan for your wife’s destruction. The good news is that God has given her spiritual armor that gives her power to not only stand against Satan’s attack, but also to live in victory over him. However, she must put on that armor every day to be successful. If we knew our wife was going off to war today, we would diligently pray for her safety, protection, and victory. Today, let’s pray these things over her in the spiritual realm. Sample Prayer: Father, keep Lyn close to You today. Protect her with Your armor. Let her remember that she is in a spiritual battle every moment of the day. Help her hear only Your word today. Keep her mindful of the lies Satan will whisper in her ear. Strengthen her with Your might and power. Today, I claim spiritual victory for my wife. In Jesus Name, Amen (Feel free to copy and paste the following message, or use it as an example to let your wife know what you are praying for her today.) Lyn, today you will be in spiritual battle. Satan is going to try to trick you up, deceive you into believing a lie with hopes of taking you down. I am praying for you today that you will put on the full armor of God. May you will trust in His strength and might. I am praying you will stay close to the Father and stand firm against the attacks of Satan. As you go through your day, know I am praying for Your protection and strength to stand against Satan’s attacks.
