Day 80: SOTD: Robbie Williams (feat Kylie Minogue) -Kids Brief Background: Kids is a duet by Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue, released as the second single from Sing When Youre Winning, Williams fourth studio album. It was also included on Minogues seventh studio album, Light Years and released as the third single on 9 October 2000.[1] Williams and then songwriting partner Guy Chambers co-wrote the song for Minogue. Williams liked the song enough to turn it into a duet. The track was written when Minogue approached Williams to write her some songs for what would be her first album under Parlophone, Light Years, it was then, when Williams felt the chemistry and decided to include the track on his album and release it as a single, it was an instant hit when it was released in October of that year. Opinion: This one is a hip tune! With clanging instruments in the verse, it creates a funky sound which works superbly with Robbie and Kylies vocals. The chorus is like an eruption of unity between the duet. Undeniably, this song is clingy and catchy. Its also one of my favourite Robbie William songs. This is great one, and Im sure a lot of you have heard it. Just a lot didnt know who did it :) P.s: Sorry its a bit late guys! I have been at my uncles birthday at Pleasurewood Hills riding roller coasters all day! Exhausted!
