Day 83 of AD 2014, #WordFromCurtis is... LIVING THE DIVINE LIFE (epistle 1 - when left alone) And Jacob was left alone; and a man wrestled with him until the breaking of the day. - Genesis 32:24 After taking Esaus blessing & sojourning to Haran, it was now time for Jacob to return home aft so many years of living with Laban. Jacob was however afraid of Esau & what he might do in revenge. Desperate times, desperate measures: -He sent his servants ahead to meet Esau with gifts -He also sent his wives, children & remaining property on a different route, just in case (insurance policy) -He was thus left ALONE with none to attend him. And what did he do? *He inclined his thoughts unto d divine instead of being swallowed by his fear & loneliness* Yahweh hd no choice than to appear to test his resolve thru wrestling; Jacob prevailed, even to d awe of d Lord. Thats how he got re-christened Israel in place of Jacob. When left alone, what do u do? When get all cold & lonely on u, what do u do? When fear strikes and u dont even know what next, what do u do? David runs to d rock, Jacob wrestles d Lord, Jesus prays abt his mission, Paul & Silas sing for joy when left alone! Living a divine life requires that u dont wallow in loneliness, pessimism, fear, tears & temptations when left alone. Thats the best moment to wrestle the Lord of lords. Thats the best time to get high on d Word & prayer. Thats an opportunity to sing out loud unto d Lord. Those who have learnt to wrestle the Divine when left alone have always come up tops. Let d Lord experience ur zeal, when left alone. This week, DONT QUEER, DONT FEAR & DONT TEAR when left alone. Jump into the supernatural and wrestle the Divine.
