Day 84 of AD 2014, #WordFromCurtis is: LIVING THE DIVINE LIFE (epistle 2 - small steps of obedience = giant steps to answers) Naaman’s servant went to him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’! - II Kgs 5:13 Who wud v thought washing 7 times in a river cud cure a very old ailment like Naamans leprosy? But daz wht Yahweh hd ordained. *Indeed Abana & Pharpar of Damascus were great but Yahweh chose little Jordan; so whats ur problem? *Many ppl hd washed in both Abana & Pharpar as well as Jordan itself b4 w/out encountering any miracle, but dis ws a divine direction Like Naaman, many of us desire DIVINE PROVISIONS but r not ready to obey d DIVINE. Charlie, Gods d one providing, so y must u be d one to suggest d means? Many hv missed their breakthroughs cos of dis syndrome. *dey r being led to Jordan & dey talk of great rivers of Damascus! Ah!! 1. Cos d word didnt come frm a renowned Preacher, it aint good enough 2. Cos d pastor didnt shout in d prayer & preaching, he aint powerful enough 3. If I dont push & wind ppl, ah d deyd think deliverance didnt occur...OUR BANE! If we wanna encounter: -power in our ministries -Gods hand in our lives -provisions from above -peace in our marriages we must NOT: -analyze Gods directions based on our logic & experiences -deem our knowledge purer than divine direction...we must seek & obey them! No matter hw stupid or low-class Gods direction may seem (AND THEY OFTEN APPEAR SO), urs is to obey, nt to suggest a seemingly better alternative. Do u knw hw many hv used dat better alternative u hv & hd no results? Take small steps of obedience to Gods voice & theyd translate into giant steps towards d answers u so crave!
