Day 85 of AD 2014, #WordFromCurtis is: LIVING THE DIVINE LIFE (epistle 3 - replacing the Lord = suicide) But the people refused to listen to Samuel. “No!” they said. “We want a king over us. Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.” - 2Kgs8:19-20 Whichever jamboree entered d minds of d ppl of Israel to inspire dem mk such a request really got to dem. It reminds me of Samson betraying himself in Delilahs bedroom. Israel ws unique, in that, their God ws their king unlike d other nations. Yahweh led dem, fed dem, saved dem, planted dem, blessed dem & more, bt wht did dey do? OPTED OUT OF IT! They felt too different frm d lot & wanted out. PITY!! Its commonplace these days, & sadly so, to find many believers opting out of their uniqueness. Bro, sis, son, daughter, mum, dad, whichever believer is reading dis: God is speaking to u. *d world (frenz & colleagues) will tag u paranoid cos u hear Gods voice, *deyd brand u a weirdo cos ur gifts r on point & u seem to evn c tinz b4 dey happen, *ur roommates may brand u chrife cos of ur Bible attitude, *dey may call u colo cos u dress decently & wid virtue. -Dont feel bad cos dey say ure ODD. Well, indeed u r, but dat oddness is not d WEIRDO kind. Ure simply UNIQUE, cos uve got ur GOD-LIFE-SWAG on & ure Heaven-ward. Many r doz who sometime ago were sharp in d spirit cos deyd not even make a single move without communing with d Holy Spirit. But they sadly grew up and felt it was better to have normal friends & advisors like d rest of men. Such ppl loosely choose MORTALS over d DIVINE. WHAT WENT WRONG? DO WE END IN FLESH WHAT WE BEGAN IN SPIRIT? WHO WOULD WE WANT TO SOLICIT HELP FROM? This is a WAKE UP CALL! Bro, sis, son, daughter, mum, dad, were not like d rest of men. Were unique. Fearfully & wonderfully crafted. Let Jesus lead d way. Enthrone Him ur president, advisor, minister of finance, all in all & see d difference. Heed this warning & dont be like d stubborn Israel who STILL REQUESTED a mortal king despite Samuels prophecy to dem abt how bad itd end wid dem. Whatever u do, never make any attempts at replacing Jesus in ur life. Nothing & no one can actually tk His place. Its too big.
