Day #86 – They become saints It seems as if most grieving people I have met share similar reactions towards their special person several months into their grief journey -- they can’t remember their loved one doing anything amiss. The deceased become a SAINT. Grievers cannot remember any conflict, annoying behaviors or bothersome issues between themselves and their loved one. They did exist, and everyone will admit it, but they lose sight of any of the less than tolerant behaviors. I refer to this as a gift of grief – one of many that arises during the days, months and years following the loss. Why should we remember the less than perfect aspects of our loved one; since they are gone, let’s remember the wonderful aspects of life and love.
