Day 9 Aftermath of Hurricane Odile: my animals and I are alive! We have our life! My house was severely damaged, flooded, the hurricane took my iron fence, windows with the whole frame, patio doors - shattered, closet doors and my clothes, jewelry, and books. My car is damaged, but is working and I have gas. Enough canned food and drinking water. We still have no running water, no electricity, no phone or Internet, but we are alive and healthy. May God continue to help all of us through this. Ilan is helping us stay positive and continue surviving. Todd, Isabelle and Graciela have helped me, along with kind neighbors and a strong community. Thank you to these angels. Thank you for all your prayers. Very much appreciated. Came to La Paz today to find a lavandaria, some more food and water. That which does not kill us, makes us stronger? I hope so! Wow, to say that this has been hard is seriously an understatement! I feel like I lost so much, but I keep reminding myself that I am alive and so are my furry kids!
