Day 9, One Day Post Op Lacey was exhausted last night and didnt budge once she settled in. She finally awoke when I did this morning at 7:00. Went out for a short walk with Scooter and JoJo, and Lacey was so happy. You can tell that the cast is much more comfortable than the splint was. She was practically running in the field. Loved seeing her so happy to be out moving around. I gave her a full scoop of food today and her meds and she happily ate them all. Now that shes had surgery and has been eating more, Im going to increase her food a bit and see if we can get a little more weight on her. I go back to work today so Im a little nervous about how shell do. She is back to following me around so Im afraid shes going to be upset. Fortunately, the other animals are here so she wont be completely alone.
