Day #9: Today I am thankful for waking up every morning to have a cup of coffee with my mother. Mother passed away 15 years ago &, like most, theres not a day that goes by without thinking of her. I moved in with Dad 1 1/2 years ago. Every morning, when I start to come out of deep sleep, the thought goes through my mind that its time to get up & drink coffee with Mom. When I finally DO wake up I realize that I will be going in to have my first cup of coffee with Dad. I would have thought that after a couple of weeks Id come to my senses, but the thought persists. I like to count 3 blessings before my feet hit the floor in the morning. The first blessing is the thought of coffee with Mother. Hope theres coffee in Heaven , Mom. Hope I make it up there some day, too.
