Day 9 of 5 of the FMT. Im not sure if this one falls in the category of ridiculously sad songs as it is also a quite sweet song about protecting your loved ones. The singer (King Creosote) is Scottish and usually sings more uplifting and happy songs (which I generally dont really like...) and the other dude (Jon Hopkins) makes some really kick-ass electronic music that really helps me focus at work. His Immunity record from last year is great! They cooperated to make a record in 2011 to make the Diamond Mine record, which is one of my favorite records, especially of that year. Its a tad short but all tracks on it are beautiful and haunting. This take is from NPRs Tiny Desk Concerts in which a band performs in the tiny office of Bob Boilen and some others.
