Day 9 of Christmas Music posting. As we continue the countdown to Christmas I often think about the manger scene and how many people were affected that night. It wasnt just a baby in a crèche, nor just his parents. It was so many others who played a role in that long ago night, whether actively or not. People who ordered a census, kings who showed their respect and reverence, shepherds simply doing what they do. So many people played a part in the miracle that was the birth and celebration of Jesus. More than that, a single birth united people who might otherwise never have interacted with one another.
